Mumbai, April 24 (NationPress) GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., an Essar initiative and India’s sole operator of green logistics using LNG and electric-powered heavy commercial vehicles, has collaborated with Bekaert, a worldwide leader in tire reinforcement technology, to decarbonize road logistics and bolster India's vision of a gas-based economy.
This partnership was inaugurated with the rollout of GreenLine’s LNG-powered trucks at Bekaert’s Ranjangaon Plant, marking the start of a pilot phase aimed at significantly lowering the carbon footprint of Bekaert’s logistics activities.
Each LNG truck from GreenLine is projected to cut down emissions by up to 24 tonnes of CO₂ annually, aiding Bekaert’s goal of achieving carbon net-zero by 2050 and obtaining 65 percent of sales from sustainable solutions.
In discussing the partnership, Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., stated, “Our alliance with Bekaert showcases the increasing commitment of innovative companies to foster sustainability on a large scale. At GreenLine, we take pride in providing not just green trucks but a comprehensive ecosystem -- from LNG refueling to real-time telematics -- that enables our partners to make substantial strides toward their net-zero ambitions.”

GreenLine’s growing fleet of LNG-powered trucks has already covered more than 40 million km, preventing over 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The company’s ongoing expansion plans include the deployment of over 10,000 LNG and EV trucks, supported by a nationwide network of 100 LNG refueling stations, EV charging hubs, and battery swapping facilities -- aiming for a reduction of 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
