Mumbai, March 14 (NationPress) Director Ayan Mukerji's father, veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, has sadly passed away at the age of 83 on Friday morning. His funeral took place at Pawan Hans Crematorium in the Juhu area of Mumbai, attended by numerous members of the Hindi film industry.
Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor, a close friend of Ayan, was seen carrying the bier during the final rites for Deb Mukherjee. Photographs from the ceremony depict Ranbir, dressed in white, alongside the Samarth-Mukherjee family while paying his final respects.
Ranbir made the decision to cut short his wife Alia's birthday celebrations and the festivities of Holi to return to Mumbai for this solemn occasion.
