Mumbai, April 24 (NationPress) Actor Mohit Malik has voiced his support for Kashmir and its residents, affirming that despite the recent terrorist incidents in Pahalgam, he intends to travel to Kashmir to foster peace, unity, and love.
Mohit shared his sentiments on Instagram, stating that Pahalgam, where 26 tourists lost their lives, has always been a destination he wishes to explore.
He expressed: “I stand with Kashmir and its people. Although I have yet to visit Pahalgam, it has consistently been on my travel itinerary. I was planning a family trip, and despite the recent terrorist events, that plan remains unchanged.”
The actor denounced the terror attack, which marks one of the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike, taking place at Baisaran, a picturesque meadow in Anantnag district only reachable by foot or pony.
“My heart goes out to the victims and their families, and I condemn these violent acts in the strongest terms,” he stated.
Mohit further added: “Let’s be clear—these attacks are designed to instill fear and disrupt the peace and beauty of Kashmir. They aim to isolate the region economically by targeting its vital tourism sector.”
“I refuse to let them win.”
The actor emphasized that the “people of Kashmir are among the most warm-hearted and hospitable individuals you will ever encounter.”
“Anyone who has been there can attest to their kindness, resilience, and the stunning beauty of the valley they call home,” he remarked.
“Now more than ever, we must stand with them—not just in words but in action.”
He concluded: “I will still go to Kashmir as a tourist, and I encourage fellow Indians to do likewise. Let’s demonstrate to the world that peace, unity, and love are mightier than hate and fear.”
