Mumbai, April 28 (NationPress) Actress Nimrat Kaur, who is set to appear in the thrilling series “Kull”, shared that, akin to her character in the show, she possesses a strong protective instinct for her younger sister in reality.
Nimrat revealed a personal aspect of her life, explaining how their protective nature towards their younger sister reflects certain emotional elements of Indrani's relationship with Abhi.
Nimrat stated, “In real life, I’m most protective of my younger sister. There’s this innate sense of being a quasi-parental figure to her. I’ve always wanted to shield her from the hardships I’ve faced, hoping life would be a little kinder to her.”
“Although she navigates the world beautifully on her own and is incredibly intelligent and self-made, I still feel a strong urge to protect her. Ever since childhood, I’ve been fiercely defensive if anyone was even slightly rude to her. I’ve taken matters into my own hands more than once, even in school! So yes, that protective instinct runs deep.”
“Kull” delves into themes of a dysfunctional family, strained relationships, and a debauched royal lineage.
The JioHotstar-Balaji Digital series will take viewers into the dark and dangerous world of the Raisinggh family. Premiering on May 2, it also features Amol Parashar, Riddhi Dogra, Gaurav Arora, Rohit Tiwari, and Rahul Vohra.
This captivating saga is created by Ekta R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, directed by Sahir Raza, and produced by Balaji Digital. “Kull” will be available for streaming on JioHotstar starting May 2.
On April 23, Nimrat participated in a menstrual hygiene initiative.
Regarding her involvement, Nimrat expressed, “Menstruation is a necessary, natural, and crucial part of any woman’s health. Yet it continues to be surrounded by silence and stigma, especially in underprivileged areas.”
“When the Hemkunt Foundation approached me with their “Dhabba Nahi” campaign, I felt a deep sense of responsibility to contribute. Access to menstrual products should not be a luxury - it’s a fundamental right.”
She further added: “I hope this effort not only helps eliminate the ridiculous taboo surrounding something so basic to life but also ensures that conversations about periods become normalized, so no girl ever feels shame or misses school because of her period, and no adult woman feels awkward about anything related to periods.”
