Mumbai, Jan 31 (NationPress) Pooja Hegde, whose latest release is the action thriller “Deva”, has discussed the reasons behind the universal appeal of cop films. The actress revealed her longstanding fascination with individuals in uniform.

When questioned about the widespread love for cop films infused with action and suspense, Pooja shared with IANS: “I believe a well-crafted film is timeless and cannot be overlooked. Perhaps it's the current trend, or maybe it’s the allure of their mysterious roles that captivates us.”

She elaborated on her intrigue with those in uniform, stating, “I have always found people in uniform to be incredibly captivating. There’s an enigmatic quality about them that invites admiration and emulation, which might explain our fascination.”

Discussing the action thriller “Deva”, released on January 31, she noted that the film also features Shahid Kapoor and Pavail Gulati. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, this marks his debut in Hindi cinema.

The plot of “Deva” centers on a talented yet rebellious police officer who delves into a significant investigation, uncovering layers of deceit and betrayal.

Earlier this month, Pooja expressed her gratitude for the love and acceptance she has received across various film industries, calling it a privilege and an honor.

When asked about being referred to as the ‘Queen of Crossovers’, Pooja remarked, “I feel I am at a pivotal point in my career where the roles I undertake will shape my identity as an actor. I aim to pursue diverse roles. I have another film where I portray a character vastly different from this one.”

She continued, “I have worked in multiple languages and have always believed in following quality content. My journey has not been limited to just one pan-Indian film.”
