On January 5, regarding Allu Arjun, the Tollywood actor visited the Chikkadpally Police Station, fulfilling a condition set by a city court that granted him regular bail in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case just two days prior.
The actor was at the police station for about 10 minutes to complete the necessary formalities. The Nampally Criminal Court had granted him regular bail after he was on interim bail for four weeks, as provided by the Telangana High Court.
The court mandated Allu Arjun to furnish two sureties of ₹50,000 each and instructed him to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, appearing at the Chikkadpally Police Station every Sunday. Additionally, he was ordered not to influence any witnesses.
A tragic incident occurred during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' on December 4, where a woman lost her life, and her son sustained critical injuries in a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre.
The police have charged the theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his team with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 related to this case and was presented before the Nampally court, which placed him in 14-day judicial custody. His legal team later approached the High Court, which granted him interim bail on the same day.
When the interim bail was granted for four weeks on December 13, the High Court instructed Allu Arjun to apply for regular bail in the trial court.
The actor, who is termed accused number 11 in the ongoing case, was released from Chanchalguda Jail the following day.
