Mumbai, Feb 6 (NationPress) Actor Tanuj Virwani, recognized for his performances in web series and films, has expressed his views on the persistent discussion about nepotism and groupism within the entertainment sector.

While this subject often ignites debate, Tanuj, who comes from a distinguished film lineage, is convinced that talent and dedication are the fundamental elements of success in Bollywood.

When queried about his perspective on nepotism, Tanuj stated, “I don’t subscribe to this notion at all. Yes, I hail from a film family, but my mother has never reached out to anyone for me to get roles. Nepotism is prevalent in every profession—any parent desires the best for their offspring. Yet, ultimately, talent and hard work are what count. The audience is astute; they can distinguish between those who have achieved success through their own efforts and those who have not. If you underperform, no network can keep your career afloat.”

The 'Inside Edge' star also reflected on the influence of social media on contemporary relationships and how it has transformed his life. Virwani mentioned that his engagement with social media has diminished since he became a parent.

Recently, the actor appeared in India’s inaugural social media love story, “Let's Meet.”

Discussing the show, he remarked, “It’s a very contemporary love narrative. Previously, individuals exchanged letters, followed by emails, and now we have dating apps. In Let's Meet, due to unexpected developments—which you’ll grasp once you view it—the main characters connect virtually. However, if the bond is genuine, no external force can thwart two individuals from falling in love. That’s the essence of Let's Meet and the reason I was attracted to it.”

Regarding his forthcoming ventures, Tanuj disclosed, “I have some thrilling projects in the pipeline! Rana Naidu Season 2 is on the horizon. I’m also engaged in DAU (Domestic Anti-Terrorism Unit) alongside Rahul Dev and Johnny Jumper featuring Vijay Raaz, Zakir Hussain, and others. Additionally, there’s a romantic comedy titled Poppy Love with Trida Chaudhary and Divya Agarwal. I also collaborated on a short film with Gajraj Rao, which will be featured in the festival circuit shortly.”
