Agartala, Feb 4 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to virtually hand out job offer letters to individuals selected for various positions within the Tripura government departments on Wednesday, as confirmed by officials on Tuesday.
A senior official from the Tripura government indicated that all 2806 newly appointed candidates, who have secured roles across different government departments, will receive their job offer letters during the Wednesday ceremony at Swami Vivekananda ground here.
The official added that over 2400 candidates, earlier selected through various examinations conducted by the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) in 2021, will also be part of this group of new staff.
Among those selected for various departments are pharmacists in the Health Department, laboratory technicians, and multi-tasking staff across several other departments.
Attending the event on Wednesday will be Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with his 10 cabinet colleagues and Chief Secretary J K Sinha.
The Chief Minister announced on social media that to improve the infrastructure of general degree colleges, 13 principal positions have been advertised.
In another post, Saha revealed that 201 assistant professors will be hired for government general degree colleges in the state, with the necessary notification already published.
During a recent address to the state assembly, Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu stated that the state government is dedicated to providing employment through a transparent recruitment process, relentlessly generating job opportunities.
“The government recently finalized the recruitment of 2410 candidates through JRBT and continues to strive towards creating job opportunities for unemployed youth via skill development and other initiatives,” the Governor remarked.
He further mentioned that the government has offered a one-time financial aid of Rs 4000 to 36,389 registered construction workers affected by wage loss due to last year’s rain and floods in Tripura, amounting to a total financial involvement of Rs. 14.55 crore.
