New Delhi, Feb 8 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, engaged in a meeting with Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar in the heart of the national capital on Friday.

On the social media platform X, CM Sarma expressed, "I had the honor of visiting Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar Ji at Uprashtrapati Niwas. Interacting with him is consistently a rewarding experience."

Additionally, the Chief Minister met with Natarajan Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Group, at his residence on Prithviraj Road.

The discussions during their hour-long meeting focused on the forthcoming investments by the Tata Group in Assam, particularly the semiconductor facility in Jagiroad.

It's noteworthy that the Chief Minister recently inspected the ongoing construction of this major plant.

CM Sarma also invited Chandrasekaran to the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit taking place in Guwahati on February 25 and 26.

Later, he shared on X, "It was indeed a pleasure to meet N. Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of @TataCompanies, today in New Delhi. Our discussion regarding the group’s significant investments in Assam was invigorating, and I am keenly anticipating his presence at the #AdvantageAssam2 Summit!"

To enhance business opportunities in the region, a significant investor summit named 'Advantage Assam' is scheduled to be held in Guwahati at the end of February.

Earlier, CM Sarma indicated that this summit aims to attract more investments to the state.

He emphasized that the event will also provide greater government job opportunities and support for entrepreneurship.

The summit, slated for February 25 and 26, will showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe communities.

"This summit serves as a platform to present Assam's vibrant traditions to a worldwide audience while drawing in investors," he remarked.

A breathtaking performance of the Jhumur dance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists will be part of the festivities, promising to be an extraordinary showcase, according to the Chief Minister.
