New Delhi, Jan 20 (NationPress) As the Assembly elections approach, a significant number of leaders from AAP and Congress are migrating to the BJP, with Delhi unit head Virendra Sachdeva stating on Monday that this trend signals the impending downfall of the ruling party.

On the same day, Rinku Mittal, who ran as an AAP candidate from Kotla MCD ward in the Kasturba Nagar Assembly during the 2022 elections, along with her husband, social activist Sunil Mittal, officially became part of the BJP along with their supporters. They also declared their endorsement for BJP candidate Neeraj Basoya.

Moreover, prominent Congress members from the Adarsh Nagar Assembly area joined the BJP to support their candidate Raj Kumar Bhatia.

Former Bar Association President of Adarsh Nagar Assembly, S.C. Dixit, along with Ajay Sharma and hundreds of other supporters, adopted the BJP’s principles. BJP’s Joining Committee member and state spokesperson Nitin Tyagi was present during the event.

During the ceremony, Sachdeva welcomed the new members from AAP and Congress with traditional scarves, asserting that AAP National Convenor and ex-Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is deeply mired in corruption, while Congress is struggling for survival.

“Thus, the citizens of Delhi will turn their backs on both these parties,” he stated, adding that once the double-engine government takes control in Delhi, the pace of development will surge.

Sachdeva further asserted that Kejriwal has failed to execute any development initiatives in Delhi and is aware of his inevitable defeat.

“He is neither engaging with the public nor conducting a fruitful election campaign. His strategies are now solely reliant on press conferences,” Sachdeva noted.

He stressed that voters in Delhi are challenging AAP candidates regarding exorbitant electricity bills, poor road conditions, polluted water, and other fundamental issues that Arvind Kejriwal had vowed to tackle but has not resolved.

Sachdeva also criticized AAP leader Sanjay Singh for questioning the development initiatives carried out in Delhi by the Central government.

“Had Sanjay Singh focused less on political conspiracies, misinformation, and dealings with liquor contractors, he would have recognized the progress achieved by the Central government,” said Sachdeva.

“I challenge Sanjay Singh to engage in a debate with any of our state spokespersons on the developmental initiatives executed by the Narendra Modi government in Delhi,” he declared.
