Patna, March 13 (NationPress) Bihar Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh on Thursday criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of a total failure in maintaining law and order in the state.

Following the violent incident in Araria that resulted in the death of an Assistant Sub Inspector on Wednesday night, Singh stated: "Bihar is under divine mercy. The law and order situation is spiraling out of control, and the government has proven ineffective in managing the circumstances in Bihar. The Araria incident highlights how unsafe even police personnel are."

Singh's remarks were made after ASI Rajiv Ranjan Mal was killed in a confrontation with criminals and local residents during a raid in Araria.

He asserted that Chief Minister Nitish has become a "puppet" of the BJP and has "failed" to maintain law and order in the state.

"Nitish Kumar is moving around but is under the control of the BJP. If the government operated properly, events like the one in Araria would not have occurred. Nitish Kumar's position is precarious. He should voluntarily choose to resign from the Chief Minister role," Singh remarked.

Previously, on Wednesday, opposition figures, including Tejashwi Yadav and Rabri Devi, also criticized Nitish Kumar, challenging his leadership capabilities and mental acuity. They have called for his resignation.

Regarding the Sambhal incident in Uttar Pradesh, Singh commented, "This is a BJP agenda. They are intentionally instigating communal tensions in Sambhal."

In response to the Nitish-Rabri confrontation in the Bihar Legislative Council, Singh remarked, "I won't personally comment on the Chief Minister, but it’s clear to everyone what his situation is. He should resign from his position."

Singh also discussed the Congress Yatra in Bihar, affirming that his party will conduct more Yatras and political initiatives in the state.

"These movements are advantageous for both the populace and the party," he expressed.

Singh conveyed his belief that Congress will strive and succeed in the upcoming Assembly elections through diligent efforts.
