Hyderabad, Jan 22 (NationPress) CtrlS Datacenters Limited, Asia's premier data centre provider, is set to invest ₹10,000 crore to establish an Artificial Intelligence (AI) datacentre cluster in Hyderabad. This agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Telangana government during the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
The Chief Minister's Office indicated that the datacentre cluster will feature a capacity of 400 MW. This facility is anticipated to create both direct and indirect job opportunities for 3,600 individuals and significantly boost the state's economy through increased tax revenues.
This partnership underscores Telangana's dedication to fostering innovation, attracting investments, and establishing the state as a prominent digital infrastructure hub.
Minister for Information Technology and Industry D. Sridhar Babu remarked, "This collaboration with CtrlS marks a pivotal moment in our mission to position Telangana as a global leader in digital infrastructure and technology. The AI datacentre cluster will not only bolster the state's IT capabilities but also generate meaningful employment, aligning with our goal of inclusive growth."
Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of Information and Commerce and IT Departments, noted that this partnership highlights Telangana's proactive stance in supporting significant investments within the IT sector.
"Through our investor-friendly initiatives, including the Data Center Policy and TG-iPASS framework, we are optimistic about the smooth rollout of this landmark project," he stated.

In related news, Minister Sridhar Babu shared on social media platform 'X' that he had productive discussions with Andrew Byrne, Vice President of Uber, regarding their expansion plans in Telangana.
