Hyderabad, Feb 5 (NationPress) A female police officer and a motorist tragically lost their lives in a road mishap in the Jagtial district of Telangana on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Shilavakoduru village of Gollapalli mandal when a car driven by Sub-Inspector Swetha collided with a motorcycle and subsequently crashed into a tree.
Swetha was en route to Jagtial from Arnakonda when she lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid a motorcycle approaching from the opposite side. The car struck a tree, resulting in her immediate death.
Additionally, the motorist involved also died in the collision, though his identity remains unknown.
Swetha was stationed at the Jagtial police headquarters and had previously served at various police stations including Korutla, Velgatur, Kathalapur, and Pegadapally.
The bodies were transported to Jagtial Hospital for autopsy, and the police have initiated a case and are pursuing further investigations.

As per police reports, the four individuals, all private employees residing in Raidurgam, were traveling to Komarelly via Ghatkesar. The blaze originated from the engine and spread quickly, causing panic among the vehicle's occupants. The driver successfully halted the car on the flyover and exited along with the others. Fortunately, none of them were harmed.
Passersby alerted the police, who in turn contacted the fire services. A fire truck arrived promptly and extinguished the flames, but the car was completely destroyed.
