Prayagraj, Feb 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, conveyed his warm regards to all the devotees, saints, and citizens of the state during the ongoing Maha Kumbh festivities on this significant occasion of Magh Purnima.

In a post on X early Wednesday, he expressed, "Warm wishes to all the devotees and residents of our state on the holy bathing festival of Magh Purnima! My heartfelt greetings to all esteemed saints, religious figures, Kalpvasis, and devotees gathered for a sacred bath in the revered Triveni during Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj today! I pray that Lord Shri Hari blesses everyone's life with joy, prosperity, and good fortune. May the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati fulfill all aspirations, which is my sincere wish."

The enchanting sight of a full moon lit up the sky during the important event of Maghi Purnima.

The ongoing Magh Mela 2025 has seen an incredible turnout of devotees, with over 48.83 million individuals partaking in a holy dip in the Ganges by 4 p.m. on Monday.

A total of 38.83 million pilgrims have visited the mela grounds, while the number of Kalpvasis has exceeded 10 million.

Officials report that the total count of devotees who have completed their snan since the festival commenced has surpassed 462.5 million as of February 11, 2025.

As the festival continues, the footfall is anticipated to rise further with more auspicious bathing dates approaching.

Authorities have implemented extensive security and administrative protocols to manage the large congregation, ensuring a seamless and safe experience for the pilgrims.

Additional Mela Officer Vivek Chaturvedi remarked, "Today marks the snan of Maghi Purnima. This year, we are witnessing an unexpected surge in visitors. The snan is ongoing, and a significant number of devotees are arriving. All arrangements are in place."

Vaibhav Krishna, DIG Prayagraj, also noted the notable influx of devotees for the snan during Magh Purnima, stating, "On this occasion, devotees are flocking here for the snan... our preparations are commendable... everything is under control... parking, traffic diversions, and all systems are operational... the devotees are adhering to the rules and regulations."

To accommodate the vast number of attendees, the administration has declared a 'No Vehicle' zone in the vicinity.

Private and public vehicles will be directed to designated parking areas, with only essential and emergency services permitted to enter.

Moreover, vehicles belonging to Kalpavasis will also be restricted.

To guarantee the safety of the devotees, only essential and emergency services will be granted entry.

A special traffic management plan will be enforced in the city starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain active until February 12.

Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is recognized as the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, drawing devotees from around the globe. This grand event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
