Lucknow, Jan 24 (NationPress) The government of Uttar Pradesh will honor six remarkable individuals with the esteemed Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman during the state's foundation day festivities, scheduled from January 24 (Friday) to January 26 (Sunday) at Awadh Shilp Gram in Lucknow.

This grand event will be attended by notable figures including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The awardees comprise: Krishnakant Shukla from Varanasi; Himanshu Gupta from Vrindavan, Mathura; Manish Verma from Kanpur; Krishna Yadav from Bulandshahr; Colonel Subhash Deshwal from Bulandshahr; and Dr Jai Singh from Bahraich.

Besides the main event, several programs will be organized across the state, including locations like Sector-7 of Maha Kumbh, Noida Shilpgram, and in all 75 districts.

In discussions with the media, State Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh announced that the theme for Uttar Pradesh Day 2025 will be "Development and Heritage: Uttar Pradesh on the Path to Progress".

Activities will encompass exhibitions, seminars, conferences, cultural showcases, competitions, and roadshows organized by various departments, all aligned with this theme.

The celebration of Uttar Pradesh Day will occur on January 24, followed by National Tourism Day and Voter Awareness Day on January 25, and Republic Day on January 26, with immense enthusiasm and grandeur, he noted.

Special exhibitions will spotlight the state's cultural heritage and progress. A tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee during his centenary year will showcase pivotal moments from his life, he mentioned.

Additional displays will honor the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and themes like "Our Constitution, Our Pride", Singh added.

Visitors can explore exhibitions highlighting arts, crafts, and products from all 75 districts under the 'One District, One Product' initiative. Food courts will also provide an opportunity to experience diverse regional cuisines, Singh stated.
