Chennai, Jan 22 (NationPress) India, recognized for its pioneering role in workplace digital transformation worldwide, is projected to achieve advanced levels in the next decade, as stated in a report released on Wednesday.

The analysis by software giant Zoho indicates that approximately 71 percent of the workforce in India has already attained advanced digital maturity, significantly exceeding the global average of 61 percent.

India’s digital transformation maturity score is recorded at 64.6 percent, outperforming developed countries and the global average of 62.3 percent.

Despite this progress, the report highlights that India faces challenges in terms of cybersecurity readiness.

Rakeeb Rafeek, the market strategy leader at Zoho Workplace, remarked, "In India, governmental bodies and major enterprises need to reevaluate their digital transformation tactics to bridge cybersecurity deficiencies and foster collaboration."

Currently, only 37 percent of companies in India provide cybersecurity training for employees, whereas the figures stand at 44 percent in the Asia-Pacific region and 41 percent globally.

Startups and enterprises that are embracing the digital transformation trend must adopt an innovative mindset, ensuring that tools such as integrated suites, AI-driven analytics, and secure communication platforms are prepared to address both existing and future challenges, according to Rafeek.

The report assessed the digital maturity of workplaces on a global scale.

India’s digital transformation maturity score of 64.6 percent again surpassed developed nations and the global average of 62.3 percent.

Furthermore, the report revealed that secure remote work protocols are implemented by 33 percent of organizations in India, with fewer than half of remote and hybrid workers adhering to these measures.

While 74 percent of Indian firms have a system to report suspicious emails, merely 17 percent feature advanced email security alerts, with the government and development sectors leading in adoption.

Over 5,000 employees globally participated in the survey, which explored various factors including digital adoption, employee performance, and workplace tools.
