Dubai, Feb 4 (NationPress) Deandra Dottin, the West Indies all-rounder, has achieved significant improvements in the most recent ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings after her remarkable performances in the recent T20I series against Bangladesh.

The 33-year-old experienced batter emerged as the series' leading run-scorer, accumulating 110 runs over three matches, which enabled her to ascend 26 places in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings. She now occupies the 11th position, just outside the top 10, in a category still led by Beth Mooney from Australia.

Dottin, who made a comeback from retirement for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup after a two-year break, demonstrated her explosive batting and all-round skills, leading the Caribbean team to a decisive 3-0 clean sweep against Bangladesh.

Her exceptional performance earned her the Player of the Series award, resulting in notable advancements across all three ranking categories—batting, all-rounders, and bowling.

Dottin’s teammate from the West Indies, Qiana Joseph, also made her mark in the batting rankings. The left-handed batter, who scored a commendable 92 runs in two innings, jumped 27 places to settle at 29th overall.

Dottin’s all-round contributions were recognized, as she climbed 11 spots to secure ninth place in the T20I All-Rounder Rankings, joining an exclusive group headed by fellow West Indies star Hayley Matthews. Additionally, another veteran from the West Indies, Afy Fletcher, also progressed in the all-rounders category, moving up two places to rank 23rd overall.

Fletcher’s bowling contributions were equally significant, as the 37-year-old leg spinner captured four wickets in three matches, achieving a climb of two places to 12th in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings.

She is not the only bowler to make gains—several bowlers from Bangladesh also saw improvements. Rabeya jumped four places to 14th after her impressive three-wicket haul in the series. Fahima Khatun ascended six spots to 35th, while Sultana Khatun made the most significant leap, rising 20 places to 74th.

The T20I Bowling Rankings continue to be led by Sophie Ecclestone from England, who retains her status as the top-ranked bowler in this format.
