London, Feb 4 (NationPress) Aston Villa has finalized a loan agreement for Marco Asensio, the striker from Paris Saint-Germain, until the season concludes. Asensio is joining after spending 18 months at PSG, where he arrived on a free transfer from Real Madrid. The Spanish international has netted seven goals across 41 matches for the French club, but has recently lost favor with coach Luis Enrique, making only 16 appearances this season.

This marks Villa's second loan signing within two days, as they also secured Marcus Rashford from Manchester United until the season ends, according to reports from Xinhua. Asensio's transfer is the most significant deal to have been finalized in the Premier League with mere hours left in the January transfer window.

Additionally, other transfers include Evan Ferguson, a 20-year-old forward from Brighton, who will be on loan at West Ham until the season's end.

James Ward-Prowse has returned to West Ham from Nottingham Forest after both clubs agreed to end his season-long loan, while Brighton has also signed Stefanos Tzimas, a 19-year-old from FC Nurnberg.

AC Milan made headlines on the final day of the winter transfer window, announcing two significant moves, including the acquisition of Santiago Tomas Gimenez from Feyenoord, following the exit of Alvaro Morata.

Milan is set to compete against Feyenoord in the Champions League knockout phase play-off, but has already diminished their opponent's strength by signing Gimenez, who has agreed to a contract with the Diavolo until 2029. Born in 2001, Gimenez joined Feyenoord in the summer of 2022, scoring 65 goals in 105 appearances and securing one Eredivisie title, one KNVB Cup, and one Johan Cruyff Shield.

The transfer to Milan is reported to have cost around 32 million euros, with Gimenez donning the No. 7 jersey previously worn by Morata, who has moved on loan to Galatasaray.

Milan was active in the transfer window's closing hours, announcing the loan of Riccardo Sottil from Fiorentina and the permanent signing of Warren Bondo from Monza. Furthermore, the club confirmed the departures of Davide Calabria, Ismael Bennacer, and Noah Okafor.

While no official confirmation has been issued yet, it is also anticipated that the Rossoneri will welcome Joao Felix on loan from Chelsea, as the Portuguese forward has reportedly arrived in Milan and agreed to terms with the club.
