Los Angeles, Jan 4 (NationPress) The Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is radiating confidence after her divorce battle with Brad Pitt has come to a close.
She recently made an appearance at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 3, marking her first significant public engagement since she and Brad Pitt, 61, reached a settlement in their divorce, according to People magazine.
Jolie looked stunning in an all-white ensemble featuring a blazer and pants, complemented by nude heels. She styled her long, blonde hair to one side and introduced new bangs. Her makeup was kept simple, highlighted by a soft, rosy pink lip.
According to People, the 'Girl, Interrupted' star received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her acclaimed performance as the lead opera singer in the Netflix biopic Maria.
“Jolie’s remarkable performance embodies the heart and intricacy of an artist whose life was as mesmerizing as her music,” stated Nachhattar Singh Chandi, chairman of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, in a press release.
While Jolie continues to earn accolades for her poignant portrayal of Maria Callas' final days in Paris during the 1970s, she also made headlines last week with the news that both her and Pitt's legal teams officially finalized their divorce, concluding eight years of challenging negotiations that involved custody arrangements for their six children, along with the division of their $164 million French estate and winery.
The actress initiated the divorce process on September 19, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences just days after a private flight incident where Jolie alleged Pitt was abusive towards her and their children. Authorities investigated at the time but did not charge the actor, and Jolie opted not to pursue legal action.
In January 2017, the couple decided to seal sensitive documents concerning their children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, now 16. They were declared legally single in 2019 after their divorce was bifurcated. Since 2022, Pitt has been romantically linked to jewelry executive Ines de Ramon, 34.
