Based in Gurugram, Ankur Chadha (67-63), who was tied for second and just one stroke behind after the first round, delivered an exceptional bogey-free performance of 63 on Wednesday, taking the lead by a single shot. The 30-year-old Chadha registered six birdies on the front nine and two more on the back nine.
Chadha executed two remarkable chip-ins, drove the par-4 12th green, and capitalized on the par-5 holes during his second round.
Expressing his thoughts, Ankur stated, “I putted significantly better today compared to round one, as I improved my ability to read the greens' speed. I was more conservative with my putts from beyond 15 feet. A bogey-free round boosts my confidence moving forward. I’m quite familiar with Golmuri since I've played here numerous times, which is an added advantage for me. I aim to maintain this momentum in the next two rounds.”
Anant Singh Ahlawat achieved eight birdies and a single bogey on Wednesday, moving from tied second to sole second place.
In third place, Pune’s Divyansh Dubey, the first-round leader, shot a 66, concluding the second round at 10-under 132.
At the conclusion of round four, the top 32 players (+ties) will secure their full cards for the 2025 PGTI season.
