Discussing his experience of collaborating with the Kannada superstar Yash, Ankit remarked, “Yash is incredibly engaged in the filmmaking process. Before each take, he ensures he comprehends all the details thoroughly and frequently offers insightful suggestions. He has a playful nature but is also remarkably dedicated. The set is always filled with energy when he’s present. He’s an amazing person!”
When questioned about the direction and vision of Geetu Mohandas, Ankit was effusive in his praise but remained tight-lipped about specific plot details.
“I can’t disclose much about the film at this moment, but working with Geetu Mohandas has been an absolute dream. I vividly remember watching Liar’s Dice during my college years, and her storytelling immediately captivated me. Collaborating with her on Toxic feels like an extraordinary honor.”
Ankit also recounted how he secured the role. “The actor who portrayed my father, Malhoji Baba, in Chhaava hails from the Kannada film industry. He recommended me for this role, and I’m genuinely thankful for that.”
Geethu Mohandas previously described Toxic in a post as, “...a narrative that challenges norms and is bound to stir the chaos within us.”
Produced collaboratively by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups has been helmed by Geetu Mohandas, an internationally celebrated director.
