Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi Encourages Actors to Embrace Fearlessness
Chennai, Jan 11 (NationPress) Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, whose romantic drama Kadhalikka Neramillai is set to release on January 14, emphasizes that actors must not shy away from experimentation, as embracing diverse roles allows directors to create more innovative characters.

Chennai, Jan 11 (NationPress) Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, known for her romantic drama Kadhalikka Neramillai premiering on January 14, believes that actors should not hesitate to explore different roles. She asserts that only by being receptive to varied characters will directors be inspired to craft unique and diverse roles.

During the pre-release event for Kadhalikka Neramillai, Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi commended her entire cast and crew for their contributions.

Discussing actor Vinay Rai, who plays a significant role in the film, Kiruthiga recounted, 'When I first met him to present the script, he paused and questioned, “Kiru... will this be acceptable? Will I be typecast after this film?” I responded, “We need to challenge certain norms in society. We must normalize various aspects.” He replied, “I completely trust you.” Since then, he has not sought to review any footage or posed any inquiries, which speaks to his caliber as an actor willing to take on unconventional roles.'

Kiruthiga further revealed that Vinay was not the only actor who initially hesitated to accept the role.

“In fact, when I approached two other actors for this character, they too exhibited reluctance. It seems that actors often feel apprehensive. As an actor, you should not be afraid. You might face setbacks. It may not succeed. However, if you do not make the attempt, directors cannot innovate with new characters,” she advised, turning to Vinay Rai and acknowledging, “You have enabled me to explore something different.”

Kadhalikka Neramillai, directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, stars Nithya Menen and Jayam Ravi in lead roles. The cast also includes Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, TJ Banu, John Kokken, Lal, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Singer Mano, Vinothini, and Rohaan Singh.

The film’s music is composed by A R Rahman, with cinematography handled by Gavemic Ary. Lawrence Kishore is responsible for editing, while choreography is managed by Shobi Paulraj, Sandy, and Leelavathi. Red Giant Movies is the production house behind the film.
