Mumbai, February 22 (NationPress) Actress Kaveri Kapur, who has recently stepped into the film industry with her debut in ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’, has expressed her admiration for director Kunal Kohli.
In an interview with IANS, she detailed how Kunal employs a very organized methodology in his filmmaking.
She revealed to IANS, “As this is my inaugural experience as an actress, collaborating with Kunal while preparing to enter my first movie set—something I never anticipated I would do—required extensive preparation. Fortunately, he guided us through this in a well-structured manner. Each day, he would instruct, ‘Alright Kaveri, today I require you to complete these scenes, let’s do a reading, and please send it to me by tonight.’”
She continued, “Every day, we maintained a structured schedule for the scenes we needed to learn, which scenes we would read, record, and submit. I had no prior knowledge of acting or how to prepare for it. Thankfully, I had an excellent mentor for both. This made the preparation process incredibly smooth. He wanted a certain rawness in his actors, which could be challenging due to my lack of experience, but he knew how to manage both aspects well.”
Previously, Kunal, celebrated for films like ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Fanaa’, and ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’, shared his insights on the rapidly changing technology in filmmaking.
The director stated that artists should embrace advancements in technology instead of resisting them.
He noted, “Technology has proven beneficial in numerous ways, such as allowing you to review edits on set. I’m referring to outdated technology here. Nowadays, you can check your visual effects on set, providing a rough idea of how they will appear.”
“Therefore, I believe that one should embrace technology to enhance their films and simplify the process, rather than avoiding it. Technology is one of the best advancements in filmmaking,” he concluded.
