Chennai, Mar 14 (NationPress) Actress Kayadu Lohar, who made her entry into Tamil cinema with director Ashwath Marimuthu’s hit film ‘Dragon’, has expressed her heartfelt appreciation towards her director Ashwath Marimuthu, her co-star Pradeep Ranganathan, and the film’s producer, Archana Kalpathi.

In a post on her Instagram, Kayadu Lohar, who gained recognition for her role in the movie, shared a message titled, ‘The film that has transformed my life – Dragon’.

“I recall Ashwath presenting the initial narration over a Zoom call, originally intended for the character Keerthi. I was thrilled to have a substantial role to portray, but then I didn’t hear back for a while. Honestly, I felt disheartened, thinking I had missed the chance for this project, but everything happens for a reason,” she began, adding that Ashwath reached out a month later to discuss the character of Pallavi instead.

“After he finished the narration, I was somewhat perplexed as to why Pallavi was chosen over Keerthi. The meeting concluded, and he departed... Just five minutes later, he returned and I distinctly remember his words. ‘Kayadu, ‘Dragon’ and Pallavi will alter everything for you. Do not view it as two heroines… this character holds greater significance than the other. I assure you, I’ll present it in a way that will make audiences adore you and Pallavi. And he truly delivered,” she reminisced.

Emphasizing that Ashwath Marimuthu’s films consistently feature well-crafted female characters, Kayadu expressed her gratitude for being given such a role.

“After hearing the story twice and grasping the entire narrative along with Pallavi's character, I wouldn't have missed the opportunity to be a part of this film for anything. Thank you, Ashwath, for presenting me with Pallavi; for fulfilling all the commitments you made. For going above and beyond to provide me with a perfect debut… which speaks volumes about your dedication to your artists and your passion for cinema. I will be eternally thankful to you,” she conveyed.

She then praised her co-star Pradeep Ranganathan, noting that it is rare to find a true friend who genuinely wishes the best for his co-stars and makes an effort to ensure that they perform at their best.

“You have been incredibly selfless, sharing all your knowledge, experiences, and the lessons you have learned throughout your journey… and that will always remain with me. I remember how we went from barely speaking on set to now discussing scripts and stories, both envisioning a greater purpose and refusing to settle for mediocrity,” Kayadu remarked.

Referring to Pradeep as a remarkably talented and exceptional actor, she mentioned how enjoyable it was to collaborate with him.

“I had an incredible time filming in Europe. And yes sir, I hope to have the opportunity to work under your direction in the future. Awaiting your call, sir. Thank you, Pradeep, for everything you have done for me,” she stated.

To Archana Kalpathi, she expressed, “You believed in me and provided me with the opportunity. Nothing would have been possible without your decision to include me in this project. There are few production houses that exhibit a clear intention of how they wish to progress and what narrative they aim to create for their audience. AGS is one of those. I feel fortunate to have collaborated with them. You focus on nurturing new talents and recognizing their potential and investing in it. Thank you for that. As I have always stated, you are the best production house I have worked with. You made me feel like a star. I will always be grateful. My journey commenced with ‘Dragon’, a journey I have always aspired to. Thank you, Archana ma’am.”
