Mumbai, Feb 22 (NationPress) Celebrated Hindustani classical vocalist, Shamit Tyagi made history at the Maha Kumbh on February 21 with an innovative choir performance. This choir, being the only one to grace the sacred event, presented a stunning hour-long display of semi-classical and classical pieces.
Among the audience was the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who enjoyed the enchanting presentation. Additionally, the 10th edition of the International Dance and Music Festival kicked off at Maha Kumbh on February 22. Organized by the Uttar Pradesh Department of Culture in collaboration with the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), this two-day festival features performances from 127 artists from 30 different countries, with acclaimed choreographer Rani Khanam at the helm.
