Mumbai, Feb 4 (NationPress) In a candid interview with IANS, renowned social activist Anna Hazare expressed his views on his past associates Kumar Vishwas and Prashant Bhushan, along with insights regarding the upcoming Delhi elections and the overarching theme of political power.

Commenting on Kumar Vishwas and Prashant Bhushan exiting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Hazare stated: "Kumar Vishwas and Prashant Bhushan are commendable individuals who have distanced themselves from politics. I maintain communication with them, but I cannot endorse those who pursue power and wealth."

He voiced his dissatisfaction with the rampant corruption in politics, particularly highlighting his split from Arvind Kejriwal.

Hazare elaborated that he chose to sever ties when Kejriwal shifted his focus to the alcohol business, remarking, "I departed when they contemplated entering the liquor trade."

He emphasized the significance of freedom of expression within a democracy, stating, "In a democracy, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if someone errs, society will correct them. If they take a wrong turn, the public will rectify that."
