Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 8 (NationPress) Kerala BJP leader K. Surendran stated on Saturday that as the BJP approaches a historic victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the INDIA Block has faced a significant setback and the Congress party has been reduced to a mere regional entity.

Surendran emphasized, "The BJP's triumph in Delhi is a result of the development initiatives being pursued by the Modi administration."

He noted that with this landmark victory, the Congress, which governed Delhi for 15 years, has again failed to secure even a single seat.

"The Congress has now become merely a regional party and lacks the moral authority to lead the Opposition. The INDIA Block has indeed faced decimation," Surendran stated.

He highlighted that the corrupt leadership of Arvind Kejriwal has been reprimanded by the voters of Delhi.

"With Kejriwal and Sisodia being ousted, the very survival of the Aam Aadmi Party is now questionable," Surendran remarked.

He added that Kejriwal's loss represents a significant setback to traditional political rivals in Kerala, including the ruling CPI-M-led Left and the Congress-led UDF, who had stood in solidarity with him regarding the Delhi Excise case.

"What transpired in Delhi serves as a warning to those engaged in corruption," he concluded.

Critiquing the two Communist parties, Surendran noted that they too contested the Assembly elections in Delhi but ended up with NOTA.

"These two political entities are increasingly becoming irrelevant in Indian politics," Surendran quipped.

Anil Antony, son of CWC member and former Defence Minister A.K. Antony, who holds a position in the national BJP, stated that the BJP's decisive victory is attributed to the double-engine government led by PM Modi.

"Kerala must also consider adopting a double-engine government model, and that day is not far off," Anil Antony expressed.
