Bhopal, Feb 8 (NationPress) Senior BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma criticized former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, declaring that it signifies the end of his politics of deception.

Sharma remarked: "Kejriwal built his reputation and that of AAP through deceit and propaganda. However, this time, the public has decisively removed him from power."

Sharma, a three-time BJP MLA representing Bhopal's Huzur Assembly constituency, made this remark in response to the trends from the Delhi Assembly elections, which showed the BJP leading in 48 seats compared to AAP's 22.

"Kejriwal must understand that abusive tactics and falsehoods will not sustain in politics for long. He should take lessons from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who earnestly seeks public backing based on the work accomplished by his administration. Kejriwal's electoral defeat marks the conclusion of his political journey," Sharma stated during an interview with IANS.

He also emphasized that Delhi's mandate has reaffirmed that the populace trusts Prime Minister Modi. Furthermore, he congratulated the entire Delhi BJP unit for their electoral success.

Remarkably, the BJP reclaimed power in Delhi after an absence of over 26 years.

Several prominent AAP leaders were defeated in the Delhi Assembly elections. Nonetheless, three ministers - Gopal Rai, Mukesh Ahlawat, and Imran Hussain - emerged victorious from Babarpur, Sultanpur Majra, and Ballimaran, respectively.

According to the Election Commission of India, as of now, the BJP has won 35 seats and is leading in 13 seats, while AAP has secured 16 seats and is ahead in 6 seats.

The Congress has once again failed to secure any seats.
