New Delhi, Jan 22 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed booth-level workers of the Delhi BJP via video-conferencing as part of the Mera Booth Sabse Majboot initiative, invigorating the party cadre ahead of the February 5 Assembly elections.

During this interactive session, BJP representatives from 13,033 booths across all 256 wards in Delhi listened to the Prime Minister's message, which highlighted the significance of grassroots engagement and the party's vision for the capital.

"Mera Booth Sabse Majboot is not merely a programme; it is the essence of our organisational power and the mantra that propels our growth," stated PM Modi, emphasizing the critical function of booth-level workers in the BJP's achievements.

Commending their efforts in winning all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, PM Modi remarked, "This strength of our organisation will also bring us success in the Assembly elections. However, victory alone is insufficient. Our objective must be twofold: surpassing all records of voter turnout and securing over 50 percent of votes in every booth."

The Prime Minister urged workers to showcase the welfare schemes of the Central government and encourage voters to replace the AAPda (disaster) of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party with a BJP-led governance.

He called on them to confront the AAP's "failures and scams," including the alleged excise policy scandal.

"The citizens of Delhi are frustrated and are openly questioning the unfulfilled commitments of AAP. Women, in particular, are spearheading the movement for change and the end of AAP's rule," he added.

PM Modi stressed the importance of maximizing voter turnout despite the chilly weather, urging workers to liberate Delhi from the destruction of the past 25 years.

"We must inspire hope and trust among the youth who have only witnessed despair. This is the time to alter the course," he asserted.

In a segment of interaction, PM Modi connected with select booth workers. Engaging with Sundar Choudhary from Booth 32 in Shahdara Assembly, Modi inquired about voter sentiment. Choudhary revealed that slum residents were optimistic for change, thanks to the BJP's Jahan Jhuggi Wahan Makaan initiative.

In response, the Prime Minister commented, "The lies and deceit of AAP have drained the people. First Congress, and now AAP, have betrayed the trust of Delhi's residents. Their daily announcements signal their fear of losing."

Reiterating that even after 11 years in power, the AAP government failed to serve the people in the national capital, PM Modi reiterated the BJP's Sheesh Mahal jibe.

"Today, the residents of Delhi, looking at the Sheesh Mahal, recall the lies and deceit. This serves as tangible proof of the betrayal to the people. During their rule, millions of rupees were funneled into the Sheesh Mahal, yet the same residents struggle for clean water," he mentioned.

"The issue of contaminated drinking water persists in Delhi. Today, the water and tanker mafia is thriving, and the residents are forced to consume polluted drinking water... AAPda shows no concern for this," PM Modi stated, emphasizing that the BJP government has worked to ensure clean water reaches the most remote villages of India and will do the same in Delhi if given the opportunity.

PM Modi further stated that the AAP "does not care" about the people of Delhi, which is why they are not implementing the Centre's Ayushman Bharat scheme that offers health insurance to citizens.

Ravi Kumar, BJP Booth President from Model Town, shared that many areas still lack access to clean drinking water at home.

"So, alcohol is available, but clean water is not?" PM Modi responded with sarcasm.

During this discourse, PM Modi also criticized the "false promises" of the AAPda government and urged booth workers to share videos of these promises with the residents in their regions.

"A significant issue in Delhi is the cleaning of the Yamuna. The state of the Yamuna distresses everyone, and annually during Chhath Puja, when people see images of the Yamuna, the entire nation is astonished, questioning, what are they doing? The 'Aapda' leaders had promised that if the Yamuna is not cleaned in five years, do not vote for us. Now they claim to have cleaned it, but votes are still not forthcoming. All their statements are available on your mobile. You must visit every household in your booth and show them these videos," PM Modi remarked.

"In Delhi, the Aapda created by AAP has led them to neglect their responsibilities. They should have utilized their share of funds to enhance Delhi's streets, construct sewer systems, create parks, focus on cleanliness, and provide parking. Yet the people of Aapda have failed to meet any obligations in Delhi," he concluded.

The event was attended by BJP election in-charge for Delhi Baijayant Panda, co-incharges Alka Gurjar and Atul Garg, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, and numerous MPs, MLAs, and councillors.

Under the Mera Booth Sabse Majboot initiative, BJP workers are assigned the task of strengthening their grassroots outreach, ensuring that every voter comprehends the party's vision and accomplishments.

With the Assembly elections approaching, PM Modi's address has revitalized the BJP cadre, boosting their spirits for what is anticipated to be a fiercely contested battle. Voting is scheduled for February 5, with results announced on February 8.
