Bhopal, Feb 22 (NationPress) More than 100 artists are set to take part in the ‘Global Investment Summit’ in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the state's rich cultural heritage diversity on February 24.
An official revealed that the Culture Department has devised a comprehensive plan for showcasing the state's traditional local folk dances, including Matki, Karma, and other tribal cultural forms.
The cultural festivities will commence promptly at 8 am at the Indira Gandhi Human Museum (IGHM), centered around the theme ‘Amritasya Madhya Pradesh’.
The official further mentioned that the artists will perform at the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion, featuring folk dances from the Bhil and Gond tribal communities.
In the meantime, the streets, public squares, flyovers, and walls of Bhopal have undergone a transformation with new paintings and road lighting. Traffic signals, which had been non-functional for months, have also been restored to facilitate smooth vehicular movement.
Various organizations, including the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Public Works Department (PWD), and the Smart City project, have engaged in extensive beautification and infrastructure redevelopment, significantly enhancing the city's appearance.
As part of the beautification initiative, the civic body has embellished the city with 5,000 cultural, tribal, and religious graffiti artworks. These vibrant artworks span from Airport Road to the GIS venue, enriching the cityscape.
Additionally, the undersides of flyovers are now adorned with multiple colors, and various artistic sculptures have been created at significant landmarks like Selfie Point Road, Chief Minister’s House, Boat Club, and Lake View.
The infrastructure has also seen improvements, with over 35 roads, squares, and footpaths being redeveloped. Major routes leading to GIS, including Airport Road, VIP Road, and Link Roads 1, 2, and 3, have been upgraded. Footpaths near Raj Bhawan, Jail Road, and Chunabhatti have also been improved by PWD and BMC.
One of the most significant projects, the redevelopment of the one-way road near Hamidia Hospital, has been successfully executed by the PWD.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, after reviewing preparations at the Indira Gandhi Human Museum, proclaimed, “Madhya Pradesh is poised to narrate the global story of investment through innovation and revolution.”
