Gwalior, Feb 22 (NationPress) Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia visited a six-year-old boy, Shivaay Gupta, who had been abducted in broad daylight from Gwalior and was subsequently rescued by police from Morena.
The Union Minister met with Shivaay and his family in Gwalior, assuring them that those responsible for the crime would face justice.
He commended the Madhya Pradesh police for their swift action, successfully reuniting the boy with his parents within a mere 24 hours.
“During my visit, I attempted to provide comfort to the family, acknowledging the traumatic experience their child endured,” said Union Minister Scindia in a statement on Saturday.
Subsequently, he posted on his social media, expressing gratitude, “I remained in constant communication with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the police to guarantee Shivaay’s safe return. My sincere thanks to the MP police for their rapid response.”
Shivaay was located by the Gwalior police late at night on February 14, and the following day, both kidnappers were apprehended on Kutwar road in Morena on February 15.
The shocking daylight kidnapping of Shivaay sent shockwaves throughout the region, and the rescue operation was conducted under the guidance of Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana.
When Shivaay was found in an abandoned location in Morena, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav updated the public through social media.
Shivaay was taken in the Muran area of Gwalior on February 13 while his mother was escorting him to school.
At that moment, two assailants arrived on motorcycles, threw chilli powder in her eyes, and forcibly abducted the child, placing him on one of the bikes before fleeing. The entire incident was recorded by CCTV.
