Patna, Feb 22 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, declared on Saturday that his party, RJD, is completely ready to face off against both JD-U and BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections.

“Should elections be announced sooner than expected, we are fully equipped to confront these two parties. The Election Commission is functioning like a cancer in our nation. It behaves like a cheerleader, capable of announcing elections in Bihar at any moment,” stated the Bihar LoP while addressing remarks made by the state Water Resources Minister, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, who suggested that early elections are a possibility in the state.

The Bihar LoP emphasized that RJD is completely prepared for elections, affirming that the citizens of Bihar are seeking change and are inclined to vote for a new government.

“The BJP is losing support, and voters are viewing RJD as a viable alternative,” he asserted.

Previously, Bihar's Water Resources Minister, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, confirmed that all NDA partners are ready for elections at any time. He remarked that the timing is up to the Election Commission, yet he expressed confidence in the NDA’s development achievements under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

“Under Nitish's direction, Bihar has seen significant growth, and we are optimistic about the elections,” Chaudhary stated.

Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav criticized both Nitish Kumar and PM Modi, stating: “The Chief Minister lacks a new vision. He seems exhausted. A few officials are managing the government while PM Modi’s visit to Bhagalpur is purely for political advantage. They show no concern for Bihar’s progress, curbing migration, or generating jobs. NDA leaders will come daily to pursue their own interests.”

The health of Nitish Kumar has become a contentious issue in Bihar as the elections approach. JD-U leader Neeraj Kumar challenged Tejashwi Yadav to disclose Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health condition, to which he responded: “My father is fitter than Nitish Kumar.”

Regarding the potential political entry of Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant, Tejashwi welcomed him, referring to him as ‘brother’, but also reminded him of the past criticisms directed at his father by BJP and NDA members.

Tejashwi advised Nishant, “He should consider marriage before entering politics.”

Tejashwi Yadav remarked that Sharad Yadav's party has been “hijacked” by certain JD-U individuals, pledging support for Sharad Yadav’s son, Shantanu Yadav.

In sports news, Tejashwi Yadav expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan.

“Absolutely, I want India to win. We are all eagerly anticipating the match,” Yadav stated.
