Kolkata, April 28 (NationPress) The results of the higher secondary examination organized by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE) are set to be revealed on May 7.
The announcement will be made precisely 50 days following the conclusion of the examinations.
This year's examinations were held from March 3 to March 18.
Notably, the WBCHSE observed a significant drop in the number of candidates, with only 5.09 lakh appearing compared to 7.9 lakh in the previous year.
This year, the number of female candidates exceeded male candidates by 45,571. Last year's pass rate stood at 89.25 percent.
A notification released by the council on Monday indicated that candidates can check their results on the official council website starting at 2 p.m. on May 7.
Results will also be accessible on various other platforms.
Candidates can retrieve their results by entering their roll numbers and dates of birth.
On May 8, marksheets will be sent to respective schools from 55 distribution centers statewide, available for collection from 10 a.m..
The headmasters, headmistresses, and responsible teachers have been urged to facilitate the collection and timely distribution of marksheets to candidates on the same day.
Initially, the council had indicated that results would be announced in mid-May, but it confirmed the May 7 date on Monday.
