London, Jan 21 (NationPress) Chelsea concluded their five-match winless streak in the Premier League with a convincing 3-1 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge, elevating them to fourth place in the standings.

Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella, and Noni Madueke each found the net as the Blues climbed back into the top four.

Chelsea started strong, taking a well-deserved lead through Tosin Adarabioyo midway through the first half with a composed finish.

This goal marked Tosin as Chelsea's 13th different Premier League goalscorer this season (excluding own goals), with only Arsenal (14) having more in the competition for 2024/25.

Despite Matt Doherty's equalizer from a corner in first-half injury time, Chelsea regained control with two goals around the hour mark.

Marc Cucurella scored with a close-range effort to restore the lead, followed by Noni Madueke, who finished off a play initiated by Trevoh Chalobah five minutes later.

Enzo Maresca’s team leapfrogged Newcastle United and Manchester City to seize fourth place, while Wolves remain in 17th, barely above the relegation zone on goal difference.

“The first 40 minutes we were dominant. The performance was excellent, and we created numerous chances,” said Chelsea manager Maresca post-match.

“However, in the last five minutes, we faced issues similar to those in our previous five games. Wolves gained some confidence and scored, which made us struggle a bit. We started the second half well, and after the second and third goals, we were in control,” he added.
