Mumbai, Jan 10 (NationPress) The highly competitive second edition of the T10 Women’s Deaf Premier League, hosted by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA), wrapped up successfully with the Deaf Delhi Bulls defeating the Deaf Hyderabad Eagles to seize the championship.

Mumbai, Jan 10 (NationPress) The thrilling second season of the T10 Women’s Deaf Premier League, organized by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA), came to a spectacular conclusion as the Deaf Delhi Bulls triumphed over the Deaf Hyderabad Eagles to secure the championship title.

The final matchup between the Deaf Delhi Bulls and the Deaf Hyderabad Eagles was an exhilarating showdown. The Eagles, who had maintained a flawless winning streak throughout the league, batted first and set a target of 71 runs for 7 wickets. The Bulls, determined to rectify their only defeat of the league stage inflicted by the same Eagles, executed a superb chase, finishing with a score of 73 runs for 1 wicket in just 7.5 overs, clinching a dominant 9-wicket victory.

The champions were honored during the closing ceremony held at the Police Gymkhana Cricket Ground, attended by esteemed dignitaries from the corporate world, foundations, public sector undertakings, entertainment industry, and various non-profit organizations, all showing their support for this significant tournament.

A special acknowledgment to our IDCA partners, whose support was crucial in transforming this tournament into not just a competition but a movement that champions the unifying essence of sports,” he added.

The three-day event showcased five teams of specially-abled women: Deaf Delhi Bulls, Deaf Hyderabad Eagles, Deaf U.P Warriors, Deaf Mumbai Stars, and Deaf Bangalore Badshahs, who fiercely competed for the prestigious title. Across 11 matches, the teams exhibited exceptional skills and tenacity, culminating in an exhilarating final between the two leading teams.

After three days filled with exciting cricket, the Deaf Delhi Bulls emerged victorious, defeating the Deaf Hyderabad Eagles convincingly. The winning team received a trophy and a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, while the runners-up were awarded ₹50,000 for their commendable performance.
