Mumbai, Jan 2 (NationPress) Actor Ali Fazal, celebrated for his performances in ‘Mirzapur’, the ‘Fukrey’ films, and more, has praised filmmaker and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia for a thought-provoking discussion that inspired him and fellow actors such as Sanjay Mishra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

On Thursday, the actor took to his Instagram to share photos from an event, where he was seen engaged in dialogue with the gentlemen.

In his caption, he wrote, “A thought-provoking conversation started by my dear @tigmanshudhulia .. Thank you for posing insightful questions and encouraging us to think beyond what’s typically presented in our artistic ecosystem .. It was fascinating to hear viewpoints from various angles - how art is influenced by society and vice versa. We artists mirror society’s actions, yet it’s rare to find those who can sculpt future societies, allowing an entire generation to flourish in the radiance of genuine, heartfelt stories and the individuals who convey them. I aspire to reach that level.”

He also noted that predominantly he observes fear, hunger, and desire motivating artists to create or progress.

He elaborated, “But what comes next? Once you’ve satisfied the hunger and quenched the thirst, moving from starting point to advancement. I believe that’s where a higher form of creation is concealed? - yet many of us confuse the earlier stages as final objectives. I can ensnare you in narratives and tales, but picture stepping into a beautifully crafted world without revealing its unpleasantness. A sensory entrapment? - that seems to be some sort of deception. Is it a deception of information? Or merely a creation’s effect? I say tree, and you envision a tree with leaves and a trunk rooted in the ground.”

“Almost every single time. Association? I was reminded of Derrida and Lacan’s theories today. This lengthy note I penned is for myself - something I nearly ceased discussing on stage sparked a thought that led me to write impulsively under a post that showcases a benign interaction of four individuals conversing. Ah, the cunning of it all. Aah, black carrot halwa,” he concluded.
