Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) Saif Ali Khan was all smiles as he returned to his Bandra residence on January 21, 2025, after being released from Lilavati Hospital where he spent six days.

On January 16, Saif Ali Khan was attacked and stabbed multiple times during a confrontation with an intruder who unlawfully entered his home. This shocking incident raised serious concerns regarding the building's security, leading to the questioning of the security personnel by authorities. In light of these events, the 'Parineeta' star has opted to revamp his security measures by hiring the services of actor Ronit Roy's security firm.

While Ronit Roy refrained from disclosing specific details about the security arrangements for Saif Ali Khan, he assured, “We are already here with Saif. He is doing fine now, and has come back.” Ronit is the proprietor of Ace Security and Protection agency (AceSquad Security Services LLP).

In the aftermath of this incident, various members of the film industry expressed their alarm over the escalating threats to safety in Mumbai.

On a positive note, the Mumbai police successfully apprehended the suspect, identified as Mohammed Shehzad, in Thane. This individual is reportedly a national-level wrestling champion from Bangladesh.

Mohammed Shehzad stated that he was unaware of Saif Ali Khan's identity during the attack. Echoing his account, the rickshaw driver who transported Saif to the hospital also claimed not to recognize the Bollywood actor.

If reports are accurate, the suspect had entered the country illegally seven months prior, using a West Bengal resident's Aadhaar card to obtain a SIM card before relocating to Mumbai. Upon arriving in the city a couple of months ago, he adopted the alias Vijay Das and had been engaged in various menial jobs.

The suspect was apprehended near Hiranandani Estate in Kasarvadavali, approximately 35 kilometers from Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home, during a coordinated operation led by DCP Zone-6 Navnath Dhavale and the Kasarvadavali police.
