Mumbai, Jan 22 (NationPress) As the investigation into the stabbing incident involving Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan intensifies, fresh revelations keep surfacing.
According to reports, the suspect, believed to be a Bangladeshi national, sought to rob a wealthy individual with the intention of escaping to Bangladesh for his mother’s medical treatment.
The individual has a record of minor offenses. Previously, he was employed at a restaurant in the affluent Worli area of Western Mumbai. He later took a job at a restaurant in Thane but was dismissed after being caught stealing.
Interestingly, the attacker was unaware of Saif’s identity as a renowned actor and only entered his residence because it is located within a luxurious apartment complex.
Reports indicate that Saif was assaulted by the intruder, who forced his way into the actor's Bandra home through the room of his youngest son, Jeh, in the early hours of Thursday. The actor managed to reach the hospital on his own, accompanied by his son Taimur.
Medical professionals reportedly extracted a 2.5-inch blade from his injuries.
