New Delhi, Feb 5 (NationPress) On Wednesday, BJP leaders in Delhi exercised their voting rights for the Assembly elections and called upon the residents of Delhi to engage actively in the democratic process.
As voting proceeds in all 70 Assembly constituencies, BJP leaders highlighted the importance of a government that prioritizes development, effective governance, and the welfare of its citizens.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, accompanied by his wife, cast his vote at a polling station in East Delhi. Prior to voting, he stated, "Today signifies the conclusion of an 'AAPda' and the commencement of the BJP's journey after 27 years. The BJP is poised to establish a government in Delhi -- this sentiment resonates across every locality and community. I urge everyone to vote for a brighter future for Delhi."
Expressing his confidence in victory, Tiwari continued, "The BJP is certain to win; but more importantly, Delhi must emerge victorious. The vision of the youth for an educated Delhi has been compromised by this government. The youth will now rally behind the BJP."
Parvesh Verma, the BJP candidate representing the New Delhi Assembly constituency, also voted with his family.
In a statement to IANS, Verma remarked, "The foremost issue in Delhi is to establish a competent government. The citizens have recognized the lies propagated by AAP. A commendable government will be formed, and the Bharatiya Janata Party will spearhead it. I encourage the residents of Delhi to come out in significant numbers and support a capable government."
Detailing the BJP's aspirations, he added, "We aim to develop the Yamuna Riverfront akin to the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gujarat. The BJP is assured of forming a government here."
Verma's wife echoed his sentiments, stating to IANS, "I have cast my vote for PM Modi's double-engine government, placing my trust in his promises. Just as other states thrive under his leadership, Delhi too requires development. Delhi should transform into a reliable capital and be enhanced aesthetically."
After voting, Verma's daughter shared with IANS, "Numerous complaints have surfaced from the people of Delhi, particularly from New Delhi. With these issues in mind, we have cast our votes -- spanning from electricity to water supply."
Kailash Gahlot, the BJP candidate from the Bijwasan Assembly constituency, also voted alongside his wife and daughter.
Gahlot's wife, Moushumi Mishra Gahlot, expressed to IANS, "The public is seeking change, and I am confident that the BJP will emerge victorious this time."
His daughter, Jahnavi Gahlot, noted, "I have campaigned in numerous areas, and I recognize the pressing need for change in Bijwasan. There is significant work to be done. If my father prevails, it will certainly happen. Just as he dedicated the past decade in Najafgarh, he will do the same here if given the opportunity."
Kailash Gahlot took to social media to assert, "Voting is not merely your right but your responsibility. Step out of your homes, vote in large numbers, and contribute significantly to building a robust, developed, and accountable government."
"Vote for Delhi, vote for change, vote for a Viksit Bharat," he urged.
Satish Upadhyay, the BJP candidate from Malviya Nagar, also participated in the voting.
Speaking to IANS, he stated, "The lotus is flourishing everywhere, the 'AAPda' is diminishing, and the BJP is on the rise. Enthusiasm is palpable, and it's all about the lotus. We are confidently asserting victory across all seats here."
Dushyant Kumar Gautam, another BJP leader, expressed his happiness after voting, saying, "I am very pleased. The public is yearning for change and is voting accordingly. The commitments made by Kejriwal, such as ensuring clean water, cleansing the Yamuna, enhancing road infrastructure, and creating beautiful lakes, have not been fulfilled."
