Gandhinagar, March 14 (NationPress) The Gujarat State Health and Family Welfare Department is preparing to host a Medical Checkup Camp at the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from March 18 to 21, 2025.

This initiative will serve ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), assembly personnel, and journalists.

Under the leadership of Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary and Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, the camp will offer allopathic checkups on March 18 and 19, followed by Ayurvedic and homeopathic checkups on March 20 and 21, according to an official statement released on Friday.

The medical camp will take place on the fourth floor of the Assembly complex, commencing at 8:30 a.m. On March 18, the camp will be dedicated solely to ministers and MLAs.

The following day, March 19, will see remaining ministers, MLAs, assembly staff, and journalists receiving allopathic checkups.

On March 20, Ayurvedic and homeopathic checkups will be available for ministers and MLAs, while March 21 will accommodate other attendees.

The camp will feature a team of specialists and super-specialist doctors who will conduct OPD checkups and perform a range of tests, including blood reports, urine analysis, and ECGs.

If further tests are necessary, patients will be directed to GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.

Experts from U.N. Mehta Institute for Cardiology, The Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, and The Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Center will be available with the essential equipment and staffing.

The camp will also include specialists in ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, orthopedics, gynecology, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery.

A team from GMERS, Gandhinagar will provide necessary equipment, medications, and logistical support.

Additionally, on-site laboratory facilities will be established to perform as many tests as possible, as confirmed by the Commissioner of Health, Medical Services, and Medical Education and Research, Gandhinagar.
