Gurugram, April 22 (NationPress) The Gurugram Police announced on Tuesday that they have successfully cracked a murder case involving a woman, whose body was discovered earlier that day in the Sector-83 area of Gurugram.
An official revealed that the police have apprehended the suspect, identified as Abhishek Mishra, also known as Prince Mishra (25), hailing from Bihar. The victim has been identified as Rupali (30).
According to reports, the victim was living in the Chakkarpur locality of Gurugram with her two children.
“During investigations, a team from the crime branch of the Gurugram Police captured the suspect in Sihi village on Tuesday,” the official stated.
During questioning, the suspect revealed that Rupali was employed at a club in Gurugram.
“Rupali's husband had passed away previously. She had a romantic involvement with the accused and was pressuring him to marry her. Consequently, on April 19, the accused lured the woman to the Kherki Daula police station area and murdered her by striking her with a stone. He also disfigured her face to conceal her identity,” the suspect confessed to the police.
The police received reports of a woman’s body discovered in an abandoned plot within the Sector-83 area on April 20.
Upon receiving this information, the police team arrived at the scene where the woman’s body showed signs of injury.
The official mentioned that the crime scene and fingerprint teams examined the location, and the body was subsequently placed in the mortuary for identification.
