Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) Zeenat Aman recently took to her official IG to recount her harrowing experience of facing a near-death situation. The iconic actress almost choked on her blood pressure medication.

Sharing a striking image of herself on Instagram, Zeenat Aman wrote, "I risk sounding like an elderly woman struggling with her tablets, but I feel compelled to share what transpired last night. After a long day of shooting at a studio in Andheri East, I returned home to my jubilant dog, Lily. After giving her the attention she deserves, I proceeded with my nightly routines. My final task before drifting off to sleep was to take my blood pressure medication."

Detailing her struggle to swallow the pill, she shared, "I placed the pill in my mouth, took a sip of water, and suddenly felt my breath get caught. That small pill was stuck in my throat. It was too deep to bring back up and too high to swallow down. While I could still breathe, it was constricted. I took another sip of water, and then another, until my glass was empty, yet the pill stayed lodged."

Zeenat Aman described how her son, Zahaan Khan, came to her aid, stating, "I was alone at home, with only my dog and five cats for company, and panic started to take hold. The doctor’s line was busy, so I made desperate calls to @zanuski, who dropped everything to come over. As I awaited his arrival, the discomfort in my throat intensified. I could think only of that obstinate pill interfering with my ability to breathe. There’s no dramatic conclusion to this tale. Zahaan arrived, and we eventually reached the doctor, who reassured us that it would dissolve in time. I spent the next few hours sipping warm water and waiting."

She concluded with, "At times, it’s crucial to confront issues directly. To challenge and change them. But there are moments when it’s necessary to embrace softer approaches of patience, restraint, and calmness."

Meanwhile, Zeenat Aman is set to appear in Manish Malhotra's "Bun Tikki" and Netflix's "The Royals".
